Hi, I'm Immari, a recent Wayne State University graduate with a Bachelor of Social Work (BSW). I am currently in Wayne State's School of Social Work's Master of Social Work (MSW) Advanced Standing Program with a concentration in interpersonal studies. I am on track to graduate in May of next year. My passion revolves around fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion, particularly in well-being and mental health.As a School Social Work Intern, I have crafted and led psychoeducational groups for middle schoolers, focusing on social skills and emotional regulation. I have also counseled students and collaborated closely with family and faculty, navigating the complexities of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).On a personal note, I have served as Vice President of inclusion and Director of Diversity in Kappa Delta. Together with the e-board, we have worked to create an inclusive sorority environment and reshape recruitment for more diversity. Additionally, I have had the privilege of serving as the Secretary on the National Panhellenic Council e-board, contributing to the broader Greek community and continuing the implementation of the values of diversity, equity, and inclusion.Let's connect and share our stories!
