Wearable characterization of human thermoregulation is a wide research topic, which I approached in my doctoral dissertation by studying the operation and applicability of heat flux sensor technology in estimation of modes of heat dissipation, blood flow characteristics, and core body temperature.

I completed my Master's Thesis at LUT University's Laboratory of Applied Electronics. During the Thesis work, entitled “A Heat Flux Sensor Test Setup”, I designed, implemented and validated a novel characterization test setup for a new type of silicon MEMS heat flux sensors.

I contributed to the Business Finland project Q-Health in 2017-2019. I was the group leader in the design project of a new silicon MEMS heat flux sensor 2017-2018, in collaboration with VTT Micronova. In addition, I led the team that designed the practical implementation of the test setup and wearable measurement devices for clinical tests at JYU, to study the use of heat flux sensor in quantifying thermoregulatory responses of physical activity.

I completed my military service in the Finnish Rapid Deployment Force (FRDF). In addition to regular military service, I was trained to be able to participate in multinational peacekeeping and "crisis management" operations.
