As Managing Director of Quantum Market Research, I was responsible for the performance of the agency driving new business, managing clients and supporting the team to thrive. Quantum is a research and insights agency that has been in operation for more than 50 years and has Australia's longest independent survey of Australian social values, AustraliaSCAN. Founded by George Camakaris, with a partnership with Simon McCall, the agency expanded its ownership to a number of senior team members, myself included. The Clemenger Group invested in the agency circa 2001 and Quantum became fully part of the Clemenger Group a few years after that.

Responsible for all insights in the APAC region including Australia, NZ, SE Asia and China, I worked in the marketing team and commissioned research with agencies. Managing concept test, new product innovation, cultural insights to support ad concept testing; new product development; sensory; brand tracking; ad tracking and packaging research. At the time, China was an emerging market with many challenges. My role involved commissioning and managing multi country studies and identifying strategic findings from the research to inform the marketing plans and decisions.I managed to not eat chocolate for a total of five days while employed at Cadbury.

Employed by AGB which was subsequently taken over by Nielsen, I had exposure to all facets of insights and research in a hands-on learning of both qualitative and quantitative methods and working with blue chip organisations.
