I’m a first-year student at the University of Leeds, studying Aeronautical and Aerospace Engineering. Previously, I attended Sheffield High School for Girls, where I developed a passion for engineering and problem-solving, completing A-levels in Maths, Physics, and Latin. I’ve always been fascinated by aerospace, and I’m excited to embark on my journey towards a career in this field. I don’t think they meant “aim for the stars” literally, but I’m still determined to get there!I consider myself creative yet logical, with a diverse skill set shaped by my wide range of interests and varied subject choices. Outside of academics, I’m an avid reader and writer—both activities give me the opportunity to explore new ideas and perspectives, honing my creativity and analytical thinking. I’ve also gained valuable work experience, starting in Year 10 during lockdown, with my most recent being a thrilling week-long placement at AMETEK Land. There, I used CAD programs and worked with their lathe, before pausing to focus on my A-levels and preparing for the next chapter at university.I’m always eager to connect with fellow enthusiasts and professionals in the aerospace engineering field.
