Underwriting Shariah compliant applications from launch/day 1 in the BTL space, this involved woking with several team members to build an underwriting system that has speed and automation, but not losing the human touch. I have been involved in several projects and working to fix bugs and issues to help service our brokers with the best underwriting service possible.

Credit/Mortgage Underwriting Contracting.Specialise in contracting for mortgage underwriting contracts. This includes working with secured and unsecured credit underwriting.

Lead and build Jrny's underwriting function, policies, automation in underwriting and overall department from ground up.

Underwriting a backlog of cases to a high level. Main areas of underwriting are unsecured lending.

Mortgage underwriting cases for the Co-operative bank. Main underwriting included underwriting residential cases which included working with complex income and some adverse criteria.

Underwriting BTL cases from the specialist sector. This included underwriting portfolio landlords, ex-pats, HMO's, MUFBs and several other types of cases where there was some complexity or for a need for a common sense approach. Working and building relationships with high level stakeholders.

Underwriting Lead role was to help build and scale the underwriting department at the Fintech Molo. My day to day role included automating the mortgage journey, but still being able to get all the information we needed to make a decision.Other day to day duties were getting the underwriting criteria, manuals, policy and processes upto scratch before launching. Once launched, underwrote cases that needed a manual touch and liased directly with customer so help get the cases to offer smoothly.Presented cases and idea for change to CEO, board members/funders and worked daily with tech, marketing and customer support team to get the best possible mortgage journey experience built.
