Now being an tenured engineer in Serverless stack of AWS and accredited AWS Lambda SME my job role revolves around solving technically complex issues for the customer or taking on escalations. These issues would generally be with performance, integration, architecture of the customer use-case. Another aspect of the job is to meet with strategic/large enterprise customers as an SME and have a discussion from Lambda Specialist Technical Engineer perspective where the discussion can revolve around anything related to Lambda/Serverless - more often these discussions are on architecture, architectural issues where the focus is to cover different aspects of Lambda from architectural point of view :- How Lambda fits into the their use-case, benefits and trade-offs of event-driven architectures.- Covering Lambda design principles and best practices.- Anti-patterns in Lambda-based applicationsApart from being a specialist Lambda engineer, I hold expertise in Amazon API gateway service and Step functions where I have solved around 300 customer issues for each service which gives me end to end understanding of each service and their operation. The services in AWS is generally not standalone services which means they work with different services/application/integrations - I help customer with integration of the above services and generally these integration can be with be another AWS service or an application or an external system. For Lambda, API gateway and Step functions I help customer to integrate these services with others such as : Message Queue(MQ), Apache Kafka, GuardDuty, Amazon SQS, Amazon SNS to name a few.

In my capacity as a Cloud Support Engineer, my primary responsibility centered on assisting AWS Customers as they navigated the process of migrating and shifting to the AWS Cloud. During my time as a Cloud Support Associate, I was a part of the Developer and Mobile Services (DMS) team. In this position, my primary goal was to aid AWS clients in utilizing our offerings effectively. This assistance encompassed activities such as evaluating the architecture of customers' systems, devising solutions to align with their requirements, delving deep into issues to understand the interaction between AWS Services and their local setups, and resolving intricate challenges.
