Spearheading a team of 50+ people comprising of Dy. Managers, Astt. Managers, Engineers, Technicians & Contractors for maximizing Maintenance, Reliability & availability of Electrical systems through Continuous Improvement techniques/ up-gradation / Projects / implementation of advance schemesc. Instrumental in development and implementation of the Plant Maintenance, Asset Integrity, and Reliability Management System for continual plant operations.d. Preparing Annual Maintenance budget of department in line with business requirements. Optimizing expenditure through continual monitoring of reconciliation of variancee. Implementing reliability, efficiency improvement, safety & plant modifications related MOC/CAPEX/OPEX projects from Detailed Engineering, Procurement & Executionf. Accountable for Materials & services availability within plant for various departmental works. Also involved in vendor development for specific or new materialsg. Conducting Root cause Analysis of various electrical failures by Meridium, Fault Tree analysis, FMEA, RCA Techniques.

Naptha Cracker Plant

• Accountable for maximizing reliability & availability of systems at Site through Continuous Improvement techniques/ up-gradation / Projects / implementation of advance schemes• Conducting Performance monitoring & benchmarking of site instrumentation systems. Weekly monitoring & control of maintenance KPIs of Electrical Dept.• Implementing and providing inputs to standardize best practices, Group guidelines and LFIs for reliability improvement specific to plant electrical systems and govern plant asset renewal plan & obsolescence management• Following and enforcing applicable HSEF procedures/ practices and RIL Group Safety Standards.• Participating in reliability & Integrity studies as identified• Reviewing and Validating CAPEX /MOC-T proposals for the plant. Support for major activities, minor projects, plant expansions and modifications / Major Turnarounds.• Leading troubleshooting for resolution of major & critical failures/issues. Generate LFI, Alerts based on major failures, safety incidences.• Carrying out trouble shooting & support for major & critical failures / issues occurring at site resulting in reduction of production loss• Supporting Knowledge management and Documentation management.• Responsible for plant maintenance cost budgeting and optimization of resources.• Identifying training needs for subordinates and support for competency and skill development. • Carrying out Inspection, quality assurance, maintenance and safety audits as required. • Interaction with custom & excise department for expediting out-going material in case of urgency & IMMS group for expediting codification of urgent items • Reviewing and Maintaining IMS documents • Releasing Material and Service PR and their follow up.Interaction with various support services Human Resource, Administration, Workshop, planning, security • Maintaining Electrical inventory to stay within specified norms/ inventory target.• Facilitating in Electrical Contractor management.

Responsibilities: • Preparation of Single Line Diagrams, Review of control schematics, Protection & Metering Diagrams, Electrical Installations, Power, Lighting, Earthing Layouts, Elementary / Interlock Diagrams, Electrical Area Classification drawings, Cable schedules, Electrical calculation / Relay setting Calculations etc.• Preparation of Specification and Data Sheets for various Electrical Equipments including Transformers, HV & LV Switchgears, Control & Relay Panels, Capacitor banks, Generators, Chargers & UPS, CBs, CTs, VTs, Motors, Motor Control Centers, Diesel Generators etc.• Vendor documents review for Transformers, Switchgears, Motors, Control & Relay panels, Generators, UPSs, Instrument Transformers, Circuit Breakers, Surge Arrestors, etc.• Design Review, Hazards and Operability (HAZOP) Study, Hazardous Area Operability Study (HAZOP) in accordance with Du-Pont philosophy. • Quality Inspection, including FAT, for various Electrical Equipment and Panels, including, Power Transformers, Compact Substations, MV & LV Switchgears, CBs, CTs, VTs, Variable Frequency Drives, Diesel Generators, Control Panels, Motors, etc.• Root cause Analysis of various electrical failures by Meridium, Fault Tree analysis, FMEA, RCA Techniques.• Coordinating with contract cell, vendors, other dept. for smoothly execute plant Shutdown related activities.• Implementing various reliability projects from MOC proposal, management & financial approvals, Detailed Engineering, Material Specs Review, BDQ review, procurement & execution.• Preparing Equipment Failure Incident, Reliability Improvement Reports inline with existing RIL standards.

Responsibilities:• Maintenance/Troubleshooting of H.T (33/11/6.6 kV) and L.T.(0.433kV) switchgears, Transformers (2 MVA to 22 MVA), H.T. and L.T. motors (Upto 1950KW at 6.6KV), UPS (2x65KVA & 2x30 KVA), Battery Charger systems with capacities up to 650AH. Variable frequency (VVF and Vector Control) drives, Fire Alarm Systems, MCPs & Smoke Detectors, Relay and protection schemes.• Reviews & updating of LT and HT drawings, Earthing systems, Electrical Installations.• Planning shut down and coordinating with allied internal and external departments• Handling project activities and drawing specifications at plants to ensure the proper implementation of on-going project as per the required specifications. • Material Codification as per the specification & IS standards for procurement. • Preparing and reviewing progress reports on daily/ weekly and monthly basis as well as recording and maintaining documentation as per project requirement.Co-ordination with consultants, contractors and clients as well as with Fabrication, Erection and Execution department.• Ensuring adherence to various quality standards as well as monitoring and evaluating all safety performances to improve the HSE performance • Leading & monitoring the performance of team members to ensure efficiency in operations and achieving the group targets.
