• Evaluating mechanical and electromechanical systems and pressure vessels by designing and conducting research programs.• Designing products and systems such as laboratory scaled pressure vessels, instruments, controls, mechanical, thermal, and heat transfer systems• Analyzing and implementing value improvement solutions to reduce product cost while ensuring part reliability.• Coordinating the design and development of new products based on requirement• Maintaining BOM and models/drawings for engineering changes. • Analyzing sales orders and customer requirements to evaluate feasibility of design and adherence to quality requirements..• Coordinating fabrication and testing activities to ensure products and systems conform to engineering design and customer specifications.• Perform tensile tests using a standard Tensile testing machine to test the strength of the material used in the manufacturing of pressure vessels and other related products.• Direct workflow through Engineering department by coordinating projects with designers and draftsmen, distribution of all engineering documents which include SolidWorks CAD models and related drawings, BOMs and product configurations, and documents required by our Quality Assurance Program such as design calculations and test reports.• Performing root cause analysis and disposition of non conforming parts and products in accordance with existing ISO procedures.• Working cross functionally with other departments to identify and develop practical and novel solutions for our customers. • Communicating effectively with both internal and external clients as well as suppliers to identify needs and evaluate alternative technical solutions.• Insuring sound quality engineering practices in accordance with ISO 9001:2008, ASME Section VIII Division 1, European Pressure Equipment Directive, CSA, CE and various other certification bodies.
