Regional responsibility for the growth of key customers portfolios within the Vertical market Retail; incl. annual planning for revenue, volumes, Gross Profits and Accounts Receivables in line with the agreed target budgetServe as the focal point of contact for the client, to develop and maintain strategic multi-level relationships with those responsible for the various logistics and procurement functions of the customer.Facilitate sharing of know-how about the Key Account and leverage best practicesDrive strategy mapping, account penetration, business improvement initiativesBuilding and managing existing customer portfolios to ensure growth and profitability, service implementation, transition to operationsLiaise with customers on all business related matters pertaining to overall business process & implementation, including new potential business, commercial issues, scope of agreement, business improvements, & ongoing performanceStrategically partner with other internal departments (e.g. Product teams, Corporate/Regional Staff and Operations teams) to ensure continual, consistent service, and growth Strategically partner with all relevant internal country organizations, divisions and business units to ensure aligned business development, consistent service and growth with the customersPrepare and present Monthly / Quarterly Business Reviews to the customers Achieve business Key Performance Indicators and benchmarks. Monitor indicators to drive internal process improvementsDemonstrate adherence to the established and effective core values and behaviors of the organization. Key Responsibilities:Develop and close new business - Develop, implement, monitor and adjust agreed sales goals and processes to support the efficient and effective achievement of DB Schenker's commercial objectives.Identify and develop qualified and real time sales pipeline - Support actively defined campaigns (e.g. vertical market, trade lane, transport mode, import/export related)Work in close liaison with the Sales Manager to develop strategies and activities to support existing customer relationships and grow new accountsDevelop, direct and manage with the marketing/sales teams initiatives on new sales contactsProvide accurate information to enable Implementation to create customer SOP'sContribute as a key member of the Management Group to overall plans, strategies, tactics, budgets and performance review and action planningDeveloping junior sales personnel, monitoring daily activities, ensuring support in GP generation and personal developmentResponsible to develop the Trade Lane activities for UK-MEAWorking together with Customer solutions team to develop value added solutions Keeping CRM and customer records up to date Provide quotes to customer in a timely manner and in line with standard DB Schenker official quotation format
