* Designing and modification of agricultural machinery by applying existing and new engineering concepts and techniques.* Testing and producing agricultural machinery data or work method based on estate requirement.* Analyses research data and produces scientific/research papers and publications.* Design and development of new machinery and/or system for oil palm and other plantation crops to increase field operation efficiency.* Carry out testing on engineering concepts and applies existing and new engineering concepts and techniques to design and develop new or improved products and system related to oil palm and another crops production.* Provides technical inputs (software and hardware) and services to customers.* Develop and provide a new SOP to estate relating to machinery used in estate.* Develop and provide a new safety criterion for machinery used in estate.* Collaborate with Government authorities, such as Ministries, State Governments, Local Authorities and/or other relevant agencies or bodies, so as to ensure prompt respond to problems relating to the Company and its future direction.* Leads and/or participates in any Mechanisation initiative for Upstream Malaysia.* Carry out the product development for commercialisation purpose.* Ensures in the continuing protection of the Company’s assets, both tangible (such as products, processes and services) and non-tangible (such as trademarks, etc.).* Assists in the formulation and implementation of key business strategies towards achieving the Group Vision “Global Leader in Sustainable Plantations, Commodities and Oil & Fats Businesses”.* Advise mechanisation system to Sime Darby estates especially on the operational excellence.
