Imran Zia heads the Analytics and Advisory Practice at CERP where he helps private and public sector businesses and enterprises using data driven evidence based analytic frameworks. Imran previously co-founded Sigmaud, a Data Science and AI company. Before that he lead SPRING Accelerator's operations in Pakistan. At SPRING, he actively advised 11 social focused startups to use the power of data, analytics, technology and human centered design to scale the business by optimizing product design, product feature selection, marketing, sales and service. Previously he co-founded Zaheen Machines, a company focused on building iOT devices driven by machine learning for energy efficiency. Its first product Jal Bujh converts legacy water heaters into energy efficient smart appliances. Imran's expertise is product strategy, new product development and management, supply chain optimization, data driven evidence based decision making and rule and machine learning based systems. Imran has advised Fortune 500 businesses in supply chain and customer relationship management. He has been a past Chairman PASHA, MD Pakistan software export board and has held product development, management and consulting positions in Silicon Valley at Oracle, Altera (now Intel) and other startups. Imran is an alum of University of Engineering and Technology Lahore with graduate degrees in Computer Engineering from Cornell and an MBA from University of Chicago. His work experience and interests include AI and ML based system design, data analytics, digital strategy and transformation, business planning, strategic management, large complex system development, deployment and operations and Human-Centered product and service development. He is also a part-time farmer and electric powered automobile enthusiast.
