Preparing single line diagrams for middle voltage switchboards and low voltage designs for switchboard control / monitoring / protection. Providing external designers with necessary data for their design. Using AutoCAD and EPLAN software for drafting.

Prepared, checked, approved Wayside Radio Unit (WRU) related power supply, earthing, fibre optic interconnection design for London Underground - Four Lines Modernisation (4LM) project. Ensured through the design review and approval cycle that the source documents complied with the applicable requirements and standards. Ensured that comments from customer, installation, and test are implemented. Mentored and trained colleagues.

Prepared Wayside Design, such as power supply, earthing, axle counter, fibre optic interconnection, inductive loop layout, cable list for London Underground – Jubilee and Northern Line Upgrade (JNUP) project.

Provided Supervisors with support for maintenance activities.

Beside the Design Engineering activities, supervised a group of 15 to 20 member technical staff for operational, maintenance, construction and installation work. Ensured that the activities comply with ISO 14001 Environmental Management and OHSAS 18001 Occupational Health and Safety standards. Maintained connection with vendors, contractors, manufacturers.

Designed energy distribution and control systems, programmed Programmable Logic Controllers and Variable Frequency Drives.

Developed electrical designs for mining plants in hazardous areas as a member of a multi-disciplinary team, including motor control centres, cabling, earthing, lighting, lightning protection systems.

Checked electrical installations for multi-discipline projects. Provided field support during installation and commissioning project phases.
