Management/Leadership Responsibilities: * Manage a team of 4-7 FTEs and 3-4 on-shore vendors spread through multiple projects * Provide Tactical and Strategic leadership to the test org * Hire, manage, retain, reward, coach and grow a team of test engineers, leads, interns and on-shore/off-shore vendors. Manage low performance contributors accordingly. * Introduce right mix of software engineering processes to reduce chaos and improve engineering productivity across assigned projects. This includes test planning, execution and reporting * Drive test collateral across various dimensions including Usability, Functional Quality, OS/Browser matrix, Reliability, App Compatibility, Security, Privacy, Client/Server Performance, Scalability, Configurability, Recoverability, Partner Scenarios, Documentation etc. * Collaborate effectively with PM/DEV leadership and drive the agreed upon quality bar for the release. Team: Windows Live Toolbar Responsibilities: * Manage a team of 2-3 FTEs and 7-12 Off-shore vendors. * MSN/Live Toolbar: Accomplishments included shipping multiple Toolbar versions with high quality. Responsible for defining processes, test collateral and driving quality throughout product release cycle.

Team: Search Client Team Responsibilities: * Windows Live Desktop Search: This product supported superfast indexing of files and various mail formats like OST, PST, IMAP4, POP3 etc. on XP and was a replacement for Windows Search Companion. Team size grew to 3-4 FTEs and 12 off shore vendors. As a tech lead I was responsible for the test strategy, building the test effort on WDS from grounds up, delegating assignments, working with external partners and following through on customer feedback. Also shipped an enterprise version. One major test accomplishment was development of a C# based tool to validate indexed data via COM interfaces using different corpses.

Team: MSN Calendar and Hotmail Responsibilities: * MSN Calendar: Server side stress/performance/memory leak testing on calendar DAV/Front door using Homer and ACT scripts. Developed DAV Automation tools and test cases for testing Calendar Server side code using XMLHTTP, JavaScript, C#, and ASP.Net. UI automation done using Web Runner SDK and C#. Writing test cases and test plans and doing BVT/Acceptance/Functional/Error/Security testing for Calendar Components including UI/DAV/DB for 4-5 major and multiple minor calendar releases. Opening quality bugs in my assigned areas. Contributing in internal and college hiring efforts. * MSN Hotmail: Responsible for automating Hotmail DAV test suite using XMLHTTP, JavaScript, C# and asp.net.
