Xinics provides LMS (Learning Management System) solutions based on Canvas LMS (an open-source project) and its own CMS (Content Management System) solutions to universities and academic institutions.I, as a software Engineer, am fully designing and implementing new features (front-end, back-end, testing, deployment...) on a client-by-client basis.The technology stack involves mainly:- JavaScript, TypeScript, React and Redux for the front-end,- PHP, Laravel and Ruby for the back-end,- Mocha, Chai, and Jest for front-end testing,- Node.js for internal tools development, and- Bitbucket Pipelines for building, testing, and deploying web applications to production environments.My responsibilities include:- collaborating with teams to gather requirements and translate them into actionable development tasks;- implementing new features and updating existing ones, ensuring they are well-tested and meet the requirements;- providing operational support, promptly addressing and resolving any bugs or issues that arise;- developing internal tools, including the release version management system used in the office as well as the object storage migration tool and a validator for the migration tool;- contributing to Canvas LMS, the open-source project our services are mostly based on; and- developing custom solutions to integrate Student Information Systems (SIS) across various educational applications.
