I’m currently taking some time out from my full time PhD at Leeds Beckett on South Asian football supporters . I decided that I should leverage (?) the many painful years supporting Queens Park Rangers . Previously ( 2016-2018)26 months as CEO ( part time) of the Lowdown, a Northampton based charity focused on the mental health and emotional and sexual well being of young people. I still chair Land Data, and finally after umpteen years stepped down from being an Independent Member on the Milton Keynes Council Audit Committee earlier this year. PREVIOUSLY:I was CEO of a large insurance and services company (NHBC) for 15 years until February 2012,when I co- founded Dragongate,helping private and public sectors to form partnerships & joint ventures. In 2004 I set up Land Data. I had a great executive career in the UK public sector: I was CEO of Leicester ( Englands 10th biggest city) at a relatively young age; that followed serious municipal re- engineering management in London ( Southwark, Hackney, Camden).I also helped set up the UKs Environment Agency in the mid 1990s Until its abolition in 2012, I was on the Board of SEEDA, the public- private regeneration agency for South East England ( where I helped enable some major regeneration projects such as the Turner Contemporary in Margate) and, until February 2013, I was Board Member and Chaired the Audit & Risk Committee for the LTGDC, regenerating East London.Being an independent Member of Milton Keynes Council's Audit Committee ( 2015-2023)amongst other things, kept me in touch with local government and its resource base and, given the otherwise admirable rapid turnover of Councillors, I functioned as a resource for corporate memory.Specialties: business strategy, organisational re-engineering, public policy, public-private joint ventures, consumer services, housing, real estate, local government, regeneration, leadership development, executive coaching, management consulting,strategic planning,performance improvement,mentoring,organisational leadership,board development, corporate development, strategic vision,Executive Team Coaching,
