As a PhD student at the University of Kashmir, I am studying permafrost distribution and dynamics in the Western Himalayan region. My research utilizes advanced remote sensing and GIS technologies to assess the impacts of climate change on this fragile ecosystem. By analyzing spatial data, I aim to improve our understanding of permafrost behavior and its implications for local hydrology and land management. My goal is to provide valuable insights that support sustainable practices in this ecologically sensitive region.
