About Imtiyaz Foolat

I am an International Coach Federation (ICF) accredited Leadership Coach focused on leadership development, 1:1 coaching and group facilitation. I'm passionate about helping leaders deepen their self-awareness, understand their strengths and working with them to bring out their best for both their work and personal lives. I specialise in diversity and inclusion coaching supporting minority groups to better understand their unique strengths and challenges and supporting their coaching and development needs. I believe that ‘Diversity in leadership should be representative of diversity in people led and customers served’. I hope to enable richer levels of diverse and inclusive teams at all levels of commerce and society.During my career, I have led large operational teams, small technical teams, bespoke project teams and broad management teams across different sectors and locations. I have also consulted to and facilitated senior teams to shape strategy, develop transformation programs and create awareness in individual and team effectivenessI design and deliver coaching and development programs on: Minority Coaching, Realising your Leadership Potential, leading through personal and organisational change and developing coaching skills for great performance conversations. I also support organisations and senior leaders to create more inclusive environments and better understand the requirements of minorities and diverse teams through my Leading Inclusively Program delivered on a 1:1 or as group. The range of topics facilitated and explored include; inclusive conversations, recognising strengths and values, processing trauma and micro aggressions, identifying limiting belief systems, managing inner critic, tools for resilience, confidence building, challenging ego and valuing personal contribution.I am also an Associate Board Member for the UK ICF Chapter helping to shape and deliver on the Inclusion and Belonging agenda. After leading a large scale transformation for the business to truly put the customer purpose and demand at the centre, the NTC builds relationships with over 1000 brokers through 180 people and underwrites commercial insurance for thousands of small to medium sized businesses. As one of the largest regions in terms of volume throughput for Commercial Lines, the operational challenges, focus on customer quality and pace of delivery was crucial to drive successful outcomes. Improved staff engagement, increased broker sentiment, delivering continued operational efficiencies and year on year profitable growth were key achievements during a 5 year tenure.Final delivery was the physical closure of the location and a move towards mobile working for a reduced team. This resulted in careful and sensitive leadership to patriate customers to both online and offline platforms and a large scale redundancy program impacting 120 staff - One of my most difficult leadership challenges to see through this initiative on people I led for over 6 years
