Over the course of my employment at Pickfords, I worked within the Corporate International Sales Team and am now a part of the European Sales Department. Whilst working as a Corporate International Sales Coordinator, I was involved in B2B and B2C sales, ensuring that the corporate needs and requirements were met on a daily basis. In most cases, the client’s removal was being paid by a company that has previously utilised relations with Pickfords. The key is to ensure that we could utilise selling our services using the website and ensure that we kept business relations at a high standard. If we have a new company wanting to enquire about moving employees, our emphasis is on building this relationship to further secure more business for the future.• Making contact with prospective clients who have requested through the company’s website• Responding to any telephone enquiries coming in• Arrange a survey to ensure a correct quote could be issued for full content moves• Calculate the estimated removal volume for smaller removals• Collate the removal costs and provide a quotation to the client directly• Follow up on the quotation within 48 hours to ensure customer satisfaction was adhered to• Ensure that the sale of the move remained with Pickfordso KPI’s are measured for enquiry to quote and also quote to securedAs part of the European Sales Team my duties are very similar – the difference now is I am in contact with clients within Europe, rather than clients moving internationally out of the UK only. As part of my career development, I am training to become a site surveyor. This requires me to go to customer’s properties, estimating the potential volume of household effects at residence, ensuring I understand the client’s needs and requirements. This information would need to be passed on to the sales consultant in the office, to ensure the quotation is accurately prepared for the client.
