I began my finance career at 19, progressing from a filing clerk to managing the creditors department of a publishing house with over 23 branches nationwide. At 24, I became Financial Controller for a Hong Kong-based company, overseeing comprehensive financial operations and administering royalties for thousands of contracts across books, music, and gifts.Over the years, I honed my skills in developing and streamlining financial processes, successfully managing the integration of an acquired publishing house’s royalty administration. By the age of 30, I transitioned to the clean energy sector, advancing to the role of Group Services Manager, where I managed shared services for 27 subsidiaries and projects.Since 2017, I have served as CFO of POWERX, contributing to the development and optimisation of energy distribution algorithms. This work supports the dynamic allocation of power and aims to facilitate broader use by Traders and Independent Power Producers (IPPs).Balancing hands-on experience with formal education, I am currently pursuing the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) designation, which I plan to complete in the near future.
