CoMensha is a Dutch NGO, established in 1986, committed to a better life for victims of human trafficking. CoMensha focuses on three core tasks: registration, the coordination of the care and giving information and advice in relation to human trafficking. The registration is commissioned by the Ministry of Security and Justice and we do that by reporting anonymously about the victims. CoMensha ensures also that the victims receive shelter, care and assistance. A safe environment is a prerequisite to be able to help them. So they can build a stable and new future. To support this CoMensha has build a national network of regional coordinators Human Trafficking. CoMensha gives actively advice and information about human trafficking policy, on a solicited and unsolicited base, to governmental organizations and other chain partners and supports them with relevant data, trends and developments. CoMensha also organizes public awareness campaigns. CoMensha works in close cooperation with the Ministry of Security and Justice, with investigative agencies, social workers, care institutions, governments and many other (national and international) partners.
