The application was designed in the Cogito Language from the Vendor of PLCs CEGELEC-ACECOld and Deprecated Centralized System Was replaced with Modern PLC based Distributed Control SystemWater Sludge LancingBusiness Details:This project was initiated to improve the Thermal Effeciency of Steam Generators at KANUPP by removing the scal at Steam Generator Tubes. Automation and process Control Part of the Application was my team's responsibility. Mainly the Rig consists of two servo motors one drives a guide which carries a Special lance what throws a water jet on scale at a very high pressure to break the scale. There were two cameras installed one at the guide and one at the tip of lance to observe the sorrundings. Guide and Lance movements were scaled and programmed to the Row and Column Grid Structure of Steam Generators, so that Operator just have to enter which column and row they want the guide and lance to travel to and the program decodes that with current position and new position.Tech Stack:Labview, C# and NI Measurement StudioAnnually millions of Dollars were Saved as before this project this contract was awarded to a Canadian Company and they were charging a huge Amount for this practice every year.
