The purpose of this position is to lead and organize the business operation efficiently, by coordinating purchasing, sales, warehousing and logistics and distribution, to increase sales and profit margins of the company. I have under my responsibility the area of sales, purchasing, warehouse, logistics and distribution as well as quality assurance. 8 people report to me directly. Besides the functions as Purchasing Manager, my previous position, now I have the responsibility of sales, customer service and logistics and distribution. The responsibilities that have been added to the existing ones are, annual budgeting of sales, monitoring and compliance of sales budget, negotiating annual contracts of sale with customers, coordinate customer service, visits and monitoring to clients and in general all proper functions of sales management.

Company dedicated to the distribution of raw material for the food industry. My principal function is to develop new business to extend the offer of products to our clients and increase the market participation of the company. This implies knowledge of the market, search worldwide of new opportunities of business, whether distributions or purchasing of new products. Negotiation of distribution contracts with international suppliers, international logistics and treat with customs agents, trips to international fairs and visitng plants of the suppliers. Also purchasing department (local and imports) and warehouse are under my responsibility

Responsibilities: purchasing department, warehouse (raw material) and receiving area. We negotiate with suppliers (domestic and overseas), import process from Asia (China, India), Europe (Spain, Germany, Austria, Denmark), South America (Brazil), USA, Canada. international and national logistics (airfreight, sea freight, land freight), supplier negotiation, supplier development, warehouse inventory levels, replenishment, forwarding agents, sourcing of new products, cost reduce. I have a work team of 5 people. For purchasing department I have 4 people, one for national suppliers, one for international suppliers, one for indirect material (MRO), one for supplier and product development. For the warehouse I have under my direct supervision one person as warehouse chief and indirect 7 people on the warehouse.

Main Activities: Supplier Development (both domestic and overseas) from Hand tools, Power Tools, Metal Working, Fluid Power and HVAC lines, add or remove suppliers to the Mexican catalog/database, add or remove products to the Grainger Mexican catalog/database, develop marketing strategies to increase sales. Negotiation with suppliers, performance metrics for vendors, Selection of SKUs for Promotions. Return of excess inventory. Burn off discontinued inventory. Inventory Accuracy. Implementation of purchasing processes and procedures. Suppliers Standarization. Contract Reviews. POs and Special Quotes Supervision. Line Reviews. New Products Introduction. Pricing and Gross Profit analysis. Special Projects Design. Follow up on activities that assure a successful purchasing plan and execution of it.
