I successfully manage my team to help the Manchester store turn over £750k+ per annum, from my passion and knowledge in retail I quickly progressed from Sales Assistant to Assistant Store Manager in the space of a year.While excelling in this role, I was made temporary store manager for extended periods while also being given the opportunity to manage stores in Germany and the flagship store in London. This has given me the opportunity to show these senior management skills across the organisations. After recognition of my commitment in my time at 7 for all Mankind I was selected to join a coaching programme to help vulnerable students who were at risk of falling behind or dropping out of main stream education. This programme was alongside Manchester College. Myself and eight other members of Vanity Fair staff were trained in specific CSR coaching techniques. It was great to see the confidence and personalities of each of the five students I helped coach to grow and blossom. I valued these skills and implemented them into my daily work environment.We helped the students to:- To complete a range of photography, film, editing and writing tasks as well as creating a real-life business brief- Develop essential skills, including communications, teamwork, presentations/public speaking, problem solving, decision-making and negotiation- Gain great customer service standards, from this they were invited to enrol in a work experience program in the 7 For all Mankind store- Motivate and encourage one another with weekly group incentives- Discuss and effectively create a presentation that would then be presented to a room of 50+ people

Taking a break from retail I moved into hospitality as customer interaction is an area that I’m very passionate about. Here I was responsible for:- Taking bookings and organising party's up to 14 people- Building rapport and creating a lively positive atmosphere for the guests- Cleaning and resetting tables to support the staff for a quick turnaround- Working in a fast-paced environment and keeping calm under pressure- Fully trained in the Quadranet booking system- Organising and setting up the private dining room and restaurant when guests had hired out the venue

Having worked for Allsaints previously it was easy to adjust to the new environment. Starting as a Sale's assistant I knew I wanted to increase my skills set and aim for a higher role. I progressed to supervisor through gaining the trust and acknowledgment of my managers and employees, helping the store to turnover a £100000+ per annum. I developed a strong working relationship with the management team. My responsibilities included:- Running the shop floor and setting hourly tasks for the staff- Visual Merchandising would be one of my strong points in store, I have an eye for visuals and a niche to adapt to - Customer Service - Security checks - Assisting with store audits- Maintaining the store to the highest standards- Support the other management with day to day running - ie cashing up tills at the end of day trading

I spent my Easter and Summer on a placement here working alongside Allsaints at the time. I have a keen passion for fashion accessories and thrived at this opportunity. I enjoyed learning all sides of product development and creative design. Here I helped with:- The quality assurance procedures of handbags and accessories- I also worked on the design process from creation to selection- Keeping in contact with overseas factory's and suppliers - Overlooking as assessing product testing prior to wholesale- Keeping up to date with recent trends - Forecasting trends and creating mood boards

Sales assistant – Here I worked for one of the stores own brand concessions Kenneth Cole. I was employed to give customers the best customer service each and every time they came to the store and to let customers know that we were a brand that they could trust. Here I worked well with other concessions around me and other house own brands. My role was to make sure that the stand was clean and tidy and greeting and assisting every customer to my full potential. I was also responsible for the visual merchandising of the stand .

Trafford Centre

Sales Assistant - I was employed to advise customers on clothing, jewellery and footwear that is most appropriate to them. Greeting customers in a polite, friendly helpful manner. Keeping the shop floor tidy and re- stocking clothes as necessary, including replacing unsold clothes in the correct place and supervising the fitting room.
