Having successfully introduced Cellular production system to improve productivity in the shop floor for complex engineered jobs with small batches has helped to achieve OEE above 80% . Coupled with this is the impetus on PULL based manufacturing environment with focus on demand has given benefits of a true lean system.CAM systems ,Kaizen, Visual factory,Low cost automation,Poka Yoke, TPM and 5S techniques have helped to further strengthen the work efficiency.A robust plant engineering function for good upkeep of CNC machine tools (Turning, Milling ,Grinding , ,Turn-mills, Complete machining) has helped to reduce idle times and augment the process of manufacturing excellence.I have been closely associated with factory expansion projects for the last five years and recently my team has successfully commissioned a Mechanical seals Testing and R&D facility in Pune ,a first of its kind in India.
