I worked on RF front end design assisting my team in design evaluations and debugging using HFSS and ADS. I was responsible for impedance matching in the transceiver chains for various LTE bands, esp. post ASM matching.Using Python I automated Tx-Rx loss breakdown from ADS test bench, which substantially reduced the time required for such breakdown calculations from a couple of days of work to a couple of hours.Using Python in HFSS I automated a few mundane HFSS tasks such as renaming Port Excitations, which not only saved time but also helped in better management of projects.I evaluated antenna switch performance by running HFSS simulations and taped out several variants. Further performed antenna switch probing in lab to correlate with simulation results.I was also involved in the layout of MCM using Cadence APD.Using Ansys HFSS and Ansys 2D Extractor, I summarized transmission line parameters such as loss, characteristic impedance, etc. for different transmission line configuration and sizes and inductor Q-factor, inductance for different inductors for a 7 layer MCM stack-up. This summary acted as a look-up table for the team while making design decisions.
