As the owner of Lyft’s Core Identity platform, I lead engineering efforts for Rider and Driver login, user lifecycle management, and secure access across platforms. I am responsible for designing, implementing, and scaling identity solutions that support multiple high-impact verticals, including Lyft Business, Transit, Bikes & Scooters, Media, Fleet, and partnerships with external companies. My work includes architecting solutions that ensure seamless and secure user experiences.In collaboration with multiple third-party partners, I enabled federated identity management with Single Sign-On (SSO) and Email-based One-Factor Authentication (Email1FA). Additionally, I implemented Sign-in with Apple for Lyft Riders, providing a secure, streamlined login option to enhance user experience. I worked on the Azure Active Directory (AAD) Identity Team writing the core authentication and authorization protocol (OAuth/OIDC) implementations. The AAD authentication stack is used by every team at Microsoft which authenticates users using their work or organizational identity and multiple customers externally. The AAD identity service is a core foundational service used by thousands of applications and is the perfect example for a distributed service running at scale. (250K requests per sec, 10 million active users) I worked on and owned multiple key features including Alternate ID Login for Azure B2B, Key Roll Management, Delegated App Identity, Home Realm Discovery for Alternate IDs, Seemless SSO.

Cortana (Virtual Assistant) Proactive Experiences - Leisure PlannerI worked on building the backend logic for the Leisure Planner proactive answer in Cortana. This is the experience a user gets when they search for something like “Thai Cuisine Restaurant” or “Batman Movie” which helps customers build their end to end plan for some leisure activity. I was responsible for driving the project end to end from an engineering perspective working as a Technical Lead. I built some of the critical building blocks of the product - • Uber OAuth integration - Server to Server integration with the Uber Resource APIs for a seamless cab booking experience for customers using Cortana• Email parsing for event reservation signals • Integration with Cortana notebook• Building proactive search answers for event and movie reservations• Proactive ShowTimes and Restaurant Bing search answers.
