By most people's standards, I am a damn good ORACLE DBA.By my standards also I am a good ORACLE DBA.Exposed to all flavours ranging from Solaris, AIX,Linux, HP, windows ....I luv UNIX!!Have implemented HA solutions and quite conversant with HA features and harnessing it.More into Architecting Databases , which incidentally means building highly scalable databases and ensuring performance.It DOES NOT mean that I am a data architect, who is agnostic of the underlying physical implementation.But again, it does not mean that I am ALSO not a data architect, I am too !!Very strong in Oracle RDBMS ... I have had my rounds with exadata as well.Very strong in shell scripting ... in particular in KSH and co-processess. Have written complex application in shell!!Very strong with AWK and sed.Quite handy with perl and python Specialties: Very highly analytical.Strong in IO/System/Instance/SQL tuning.Can easily grasp new concepts.Can understand and implement solutions on the fly.Completely inherent locus of learning .. that would mean I am not dependant on external entities for my learning needs.
