Creator, Artistic Director And Writer - Paradise Trilogy
- Creator, Artistic Director and Writer for the PARADISE Trilogy.- Managed entire project from start to finish including fundraising and grant writing, story creation, artistic direction, hiring of cast and crew, marketing, tracking budget, scheduling, research, venue booking and coordinating production. - PARADISE Trilogy included 3 full length multidisciplinary productions staged over three years that combined theater, aerial and acrobatic arts, dance, music and film. - All productions took place at Historic The Brava Theater in San Francisco. - Worked collaboratively and independently to write the scripts for the first two productions. Lead Artist
Commissioned for film and installation solo exhibition at EMBASSY gallery in Edinburgh, Scotland. While on residency I completed a short film, The Life Cycle of Rainbows about the cycle of life and death and the relationship between the physical and ancestral world. The film was shot throughout Scotland's Western Lowlands and London and featured 13 Afro Diasporic dancers and a music score composed by myself, as well as several of Larry Levan's mixes. The installation included an immersive mural, 3 channel video projection and sculptures. - Coordinated international casting and hiring of film crew in collaboration with Project X Dance, an Afro Diasporic Dance organization based in Glasgow. - Collaboration with costume designer create bespoke costumes.- Directed, edited, scored, and produced film. - Executed installation design, coordinating with gallery assistants and leadership following a tight deadline.- Rigorous research process engaged to develop concept and story for the project, continued from academic study at Goldmsmiths University
