Content Creation and Digital Marketing Agency

I have been a freelance music & portrait photographer based in the North-East of England for almost five years now. A lot, if not all of my skills I have learnt within my years of running my own business are transferable. I was the only one running my business so the first and only point of contact for my clients was me, therefore allowing me to take customer service skills that I have learnt throughout my jobs in retail and hospitality into my own business. Having worked in customer service, hospitality and creative arts has given me a diverse collection of skills that have benefited me throughout my career in all sectors. From my own business, I have been able to do my own accounts, tax returns and invoices - skills I was not used to in my previous roles. I have ran my own business through social media meaning I have carefully dissected algorithms to use this for my own benefit and push the business itself throughout social media platforms like Instagram, Facebook and Twitter. I also designed my own website giving me a lot of knowledge technologically, I am competent with all Microsoft Office and Adobe Software as I use these on a day to day bases. I am a quick learner and I thrive from learning on the job.

Over the 2 years of working for Wearside Orthodontic Centre I created content for Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Tiktok, LinkedIn etc. I also redesigned the website from scratch, as well as maintaining it daily. I designed our merchandise range as well as the new branding for the company. As I am from a photography and videography all the content captured and edited for the company was by myself. I ran all campaigns for the company and even secured digital billboards around Sunderland for our relaunch of the company within the first 2 months of starting my job role. Using SEM and SEO I tracked google analytics to utilise for the development of the company as well as producing both email campaigns and running the companies blog.

I started working with High Time Engine as a freelance photographer in 2017, embarking on a 4 month world tour across UK, EU, Australia and America with the band Coasts. My roll within the High Time Engine team has allowed me to enhance my problem solving skills further as it was always a quick turn around for both the label and the band which I thrived on as I love working in high pressure atmospheres. I have a great knowledge in advertising which has allowed me to problem solve for the record label via email while in Australia and America to create the best experience possible for the band and their fans. Working for a record label obviously comes with being confidential and protecting the company by not speaking about any information that has not been pre approved outside of the team.I had a number of responsibilities including daily photos and videos, designing their current range of merchandise, styling their clothing for photoshoots and creating ideas for upcoming shoots.

Within my time at End Clothing, I was responsible for setting up lighting screens and maintaining light readings in outdoor and indoor shoots. Maintained all equipment and was responsible for transporting equipment to mobile locations and setup. Assisted in arranging large groups for portraits and answering questions from models, directors and other members of staff. I set up an excel spreadsheet system to keep track of all equipment in and out of the studio as well as any materials we were running low on. I produced mood boards and location scouted for photoshoots as well as designing/hand crafting sets for seasonal photoshoots and product launches. I used a range of computer programs throughout my time at this roll including, Microsoft Office, Adobe and Slack.

I completed a one year placement with Savalas Models, a local model agency on the rise in Newcastle. My time spent there as head photographer allowed me to develop my communication skills as well as my creative ability. Savalas Models provided many networking options including contacts built at London Fashion Week in 2015, which allowed me to photograph the SS17 show of designer multi- media designers VIN + OMI the following year. My placement at Savalas Models has allowed me to develop my communication skills with a range of clientele. While taking part in my one year placement with Savalas Models when I was studying Creative Enterprise at University, it really helped me secure the knowledge in fashion and brands as well as work with a range of models, thus allowing me to develop my communication skills. The position at Savalas Models and the skills Director Terry Costello taught me also helped me when writing my dissertation in celebrity culture and paparazzi. As my final module on branding my own business as a photographer. I thoroughly enjoyed my position at the model agency as I not only came out with skills and knowledge, I also gained friend in Terry as well as new peers in the industry of fashion. I achieved at 2:1 in my BA Honours degree.
