I am a Student Nurse at Deakin University and a medical receptionist, working for I-Med Radiology in the Central Melbourne region. I have been working as a medical receptionist/medical secretary within two companies for approximately 7 years and these roles have allowed me to work at a variety of hospitals and clinics supporting multiple modalities. Before relocating to Melbourne, I was in the 2IC receptionist/secretary position at the fast paced Savage Xray (an I-Med Radiology Clinic) in the heart of Brisbane. Working in the medical field allows me to interact with doctors, nurses and patients and I strive to make this a comfortable experience for all involved; especially for the patients, who are often experiencing anxious times in regards to their personal health. The fast paced environment of a busy medical clinic is one I thrive in, and my passion lies within medicine and healthcare. I am a highly motivated person who is dedicated to providing exceptional customer service in both a team and independent environment. I endeavour to deliver the highest level of patient care possible. I have excellent communication skills in both phone manner and face-to-face interactions. The importance of being the first point of contact for the company is not a responsibility I take lightly as I understand it leaves a lasting impression on the customers overall experience.I also work in a casual reception role in the Fitness Industry which provides another level to my administration and organisational skills.
