I believe smile is the root of all health. Born and raised in Boston, Massachusetts, I attended the Brookline Public Schools through the METCO Program from 1st grade to 12th grade. I am now an aspiring dentist and researcher looking to investigate the linkage between oral health disparities and the social determinants of health. I am a 2023 graduate of the illustrious Howard University, with a B.S. and B.A in Biology and Spanish respectively and a minor in chemistry. I am currently completing a 600 hour research-based Master of Health Science program at Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg School of Public Health to investigate the social factors in health and its impact on societal health outcomes. I look forward to uncovering health disparities through research and bridging the health gap for underserved communities in the ever-growing field of dentistry. I aim to utilize oral health as a tool to target weaknesses in our system and increase education surrounding the importance of oral health. I was a recipient of the Presidential Volunteer Award in 2023 for my outstanding community service hours and will always prioritize serving my community in everything that I do. I was a top 15 ambassador in the FemHealth Women’s Summit, Mentorship chair of the Pre-Dental Society, CECAT Dental Study Abroad Intern and various other role. I stand as the co-chair of the Health, Behavior and Society Student Organization, Senior Oncology Lab Assistant and the Public Health Representative of the Biomedical Scholars Program.
