I had my first job at 14, in my local Assemblyman's office. I learned a lot about hard work and dedication, so I continued working various part-time jobs through high school to gain experience and further my work ethic. While attending Le Moyne College full-time, I worked part-time in a local restaurant receiving three promotions in three years. I held leadership roles as President of the Sociology Club and a Member of the Council of Honors Societies. During my time there I was also given the "Unsung Hero" award for my commitment to pushing my fellow students toward their goals of academic excellence, intellectual freedom and social awareness. I coordinated many events and fundraisers, made the Deans list three of the four semesters I completed, and presented my thesis at the Eastern Sociological Society Annual conference. I collaborated on a paper with an Associate Professor, which was chosen for presentation at a Sociological conference in California and is currently being published. My education and employment venues have been both diverse and challenging as I worked with a myriad of individuals: professors, classmates, managers and co-workers, to be constantly improving and helping those around us.
