For this position, I log meticulous case notes regarding daily client interactions and referrals, ensure consistent organization within case files to meet USCRI and ORR documentation requirements, assist clients in areas of vulnerability and troubleshoot problems with them during appointments and walk-in hours, and attend appointments with clients when necessary, helping acclimate them to unfamiliar situations such as using public transportation and navigating the DSS application process.

My responsibilities for this position included assisting the Case Manager with his needs within the Resettlement and Placement Department of the Albany Branch of USCRI. Much of this included creating, keeping meticulous track of, and reviewing case files for incoming and recent refugee cases. I helped to create a new spreadsheet system to ensure that case files were complete and organized for reviewing, and learned how to write case notes and all of the ins-and-outs of helping refugees relocate and settle into a new country. I also assisted in the ESL classes held for clients at USCRI, receiving hands on experience for communicating with low-English refugees and helping to create a friendly and professional office and classroom environment.

My responsibilities for this position included maintaining an up to date and extensive repertoire of information about sexual health, disseminating said knowledge effectively and appropriately to students on campus, organizing and carrying out educational events and programs, and directing students in need to facilities such as the counseling and medical centers. The position required the completion of a year-long human sexuality class taught by the director of the program.

My responsibilities for this position included holding office hours in which I received calls from music distributors to receive information on new material they were promoting, keeping up to date with daily e-mail correspondences with distributors who chose to contact me via e-mail, reviewed CDs to be entered into our collection of albums in rotation (from which DJs are required to play 20% of their music show), maintained a spreadsheet of rotation, ensured that DJs were playing the minimum amount of music from rotation, and tracked all the new music played by DJs every week to submit to music charting websites like CMJ and NACC.

My responsibilities for this position included preparing engaging biweekly two-hour long English as a Second Language lesson plans for private lessons that I held for two Japanese-speaking siblings, ages 5 and 7. This position required advanced Japanese conversation skills as well as the ability to convey new language concepts simply and clearly in both English and Japanese.

My responsibilities for this position included picking up and organizing all the mail sent to the WCDB public radio station. I maintained shelves of CDs sorted by particular add dates and created and frequently updated a corresponding Excel Spreadsheet to log the music.
