As a UX & UI designer, my passion lies in creating inclusive products. By leveraging research, empathy, and established design principles, I aim to develop intuitive and engaging user experiences.My journey into design began when I lost my job as an entry-level systems administrator. This loss greatly upset me, making me feel as if my dream was over. As months passed without finding a new opportunity, my frustration grew. This prompted me to explore different career paths. During my search, I found a wealth of information about UX UI design.I discovered a company called Careerist that offered a course in UX/UI design. Initially, I was apprehensive as I was content with my old job and enjoyed the work I was doing. However, I decided to take a chance and enroll in the program. In retrospect, this was the best decision I made. I found a newfound passion for UX/UI design and enjoy creating designs that help people. I successfully completed the first phase of the program, where I redesigned Spotify to be more user-friendly for older individuals.Based on my design skills I was fortunate enough to get an internship at a company called Level Up Basketball. As a team, we collaborated on creating a messaging feature for their existing app. This experience was beneficial as it allowed me to understand the process from research to implementation. We presented our project to the stakeholders who were quite impressed with our work. They plan to implement our contributions in the future.
