Indira Thouvenin is professor (enseignant chercheur contractuel HDR rang A) at the CNRS Heudiasyc UMR 7253 laboratory at UTC (University of Technology Compiègne - Sorbonne University). Since 2001 she is focused on informed virtual environment with two axis i.e. gestural interaction and adaptive feedback in virtual and augmented environments. In particular she is the leader of the TRANSLIFE research program with a two configurations CAVE at Heudiasyc and leads the Equipex Continuum project for Heudiasyc. She is involved in different ANR project: Socialtouch, Match, and has been the leader of several Regional projects, Bi-lateral projects with Continental, Orange Labs, St Gobain, Safran, Montupet, Renault and works with academic partners ISIR Sorbonne University, IIT Genes, IMVE Hamburg, City University Hong Kong, IISc and NIAS Bangalore. She is a member of various Program committees (ACM ISMAR, ACM Web 3D, ACM VRIC, HUCAPP, IEEE CSWD, ICoRD, SVR, HUCAPP), and she is a member of ITEN Unesco chaire.
