Direct Report to COOResponsibilities :1. Organize to service each business division while maintaining and improving overall operational and departmental efficiencies2. Ensure proper compliance and adherence to all appropriate health and safety regulations and cleanliness requirements are followed both with regards for personal and inventory safety.3. Effect necessary communication and motivation to staff. Monitors individual performance via observation and review of various productivity metrics. Counsels and disciplines as necessary.4.Develop and ensure that established policies, rules and regulations and procedures are followed.5. Meet or exceed established goals relative to on-time delivery and shipping accuracy performance for customer shipments6. Improve operational efficiencies to increase ability to process customer orders using both systems and physical improvements.7. Manages / monitors efforts of all departments in the to achieve synergies and ensure achievement of the operations targets and business plans.8. Ensures the cost of operations in the is kept within the sanctioned expenditure budgets for the division. 9. Ensures the transportation projects are executed efficiently and delivery is made on time with minimum claims and accidents.10. Ensures proper fleet management to improve the utilization and availability of the fleet, reduce downtime and reduce maintenance cost.11. Ensures proper tracking of the maintenance of assets (preventive and breakdown) are done to reduce repair costs / minimize vehicular downtime.12. Ensures proper IT systems are in place and processes which can unite diverse functions and processes into an integrated collaborative flow are defined.13. Sets out specific performance standards in such key areas as business development, operations, project management and yard management; evaluates performance against these standards; coaches and assists the department managers in improving their performance.
