Indrani comes with more than two decades of rich experience in corporate communication across the private sector and international development organizations. As Associate Director of Regional Communications across Asia, Africa and Latin America, she is known for her abilities to coach and mentor communicators and collaborate with teams to design communications strategies, build the corporate brand, assist in new program development as well as devise key messages and communications tactics. Indrani’s leadership style brings together sound industry knowledge, deep emotional intelligence and rich field level experience. Indrani is a passionate communicator, storyteller and facilitator of open, honest dialogue. She has led Jhpiego through several high visibility events. Her blogs, stories and articles have been featured across prominent platforms like the Guardian, Devex, Johns Hopkins Nursing Magazine and Frontline Health workers coalition.Indrani began her career in the advertising industry and has worked with some of the best advertising agencies of the country including Contract advertising and Ogilvy, where she designed communication strategies and implementation plans for several large private sector firms. Indrani considers herself to be a lifelong learner. She holds an undergraduate degree in Economics from Delhi University and a Master’s degree in Economics from Jamia Millia Islamia University. She says she learned communication “by doing” and seizes every opportunity to add to her knowledge and skills in leadership and communications. Indrani successfully completed Jhpiego’s six-month Global Management Training Program in 2018 and completed Jhpiego’s flagship two-year “Manjushree Badlani Leadership Development Program” in 2021.
