Support for families• Supporting a case load of families who are waiting to be matched with avolunteer and liaising with referrers as appropriate.• Receiving referrals and assessing the needs of families.• Introducing families to appropriate support, matching with the appropriatevolunteer.• Ensuring support to families is reviewed at regular intervals and at the end ofHome-Start support, in line with current Home-Start guidance.• To undertake designated responsibilities to safeguard and promote children’swelfare.• Facilitating family support groups, outings and activities as required.Managing Volunteers• Recruiting, selecting and preparing suitable volunteers.• Matching and introducing volunteers to families.Home-Start Westminster is committed to safer recruitment practice as an important part ofsafeguarding and protecting children and vulnerable adults2• Providing support, supervision, and initial and on-going training opportunitiesfor volunteers.• Contribute as required to the delivery of the Home-Start preparation course to ahigh standard for all prospective volunteers.Working in Partnership• Ensuring appropriate liaison with referrers and other professionals, bothstatutory and voluntary.• Networking within the community and developing a good knowledge of localservices, conditions and needs in order to deliver a high-quality, responsiveservice for parents and children.Supporting the work of the scheme• Supporting the implementation and review of all Home-Start policies andprocedures.• Complying with the scheme’s administration, monitoring and financial systems.• Promoting the work of the scheme and the Home-Start ethos.• Contributing to and supporting the development of the Home-Start networklocally, regionally and nationally.• Undertaking work as delegated by the Scheme Manager/Senior Co-ordinators tosupport the strategic management, development and future funding of thescheme.

• Provide both pre and post bereavement goal focused counselling within a timescale of 10 weeks. • Promote the involvement of service users in the evaluation and development of the service. • Access and participate in appropriate professional supervision.• Adhere to Confidentiality, Data Protection Legislation and Safeguarding Procedures.• Complete documentation e.g mid and end reviews containing PHQ9 and GAD7 forms. • Ensure that clients are supported within the time frames specified within the service model and discharged appropriately. • Ensure all clients are aware of other support provided by St Christopher’s Hospice.• Maintain accurate and up to date records of session log, counselling progress, client ending sheets etc.

• To develop and maintain fundraising and other forms of support from trusts and corporate partnerships.• To research and maintain a library of information on charitable funding sources and their policies for grant making• To write compelling and tailored funding applications• To develop and provide supporting documents • To provide grant spending details and end of the grant reports to the funders • To develop and maintain long terms relationship with funders• To develop budget for all the projects• To develop and maintain corporate partnerships• To represent Powerhouse in quarterly co-production pre-meetings & meetings• Arranging fundraising events such as Charity Fun Day, Coffee Mornings,Carol Singing etc.

• To maintain web based database (MESH) for families and volunteers for monitoring & evaluation purposes.• To collect missing information from families, volunteers and coordinators.• Other administrative tasks.
