I joined Alation as head of quality and documentation, built up the team that eventually grew to over 40 engineers across US and India, bootstrapped automation and test infrastructure, performance and scale testing. I then took on the engineering operations role that includes running technical programs for engineering, product releases, Product performance and scale, Customer Zero Programs, test infrastructure and cost management. I leverage my strong product, engineering , quality and customer management background to identify processes, tools, frameworks that work best.In my current role as an Engineering Operations Leader, I manage several functions and teams at Alation- Customer Zero Program: to enable Product and Engineering Teams to get early feedback about our software release readiness and quality - System Performance Team: that drives Performance and Scale activities to guide sizing for Alation Production Environments- Release Management function: to ensure timely delivery of Alation releases, patches and fixes to our On Premise and Cloud Customers while also continuously improving process - Technical Program Management function: to support cloud migrations and other large initiatives in the Cloud like Fedramp Certification- Engineering Test Infrastructure Team : that builds and manages all of the test infrastructure while continuously improving infrastructure stability, reducing cost and improving developer productivity- Engineering Operations Function : that defines key metrics to drive standardization across Engineering while incorporating continuous improvements into the software development lifecycle (SDLC). Supports and assists in establishing and ensuring accountability for Engineering's (OKRs). Creates a framework to facilitate data-driven decision-making, including providing metrics, dashboards, and reporting. Collaborates with Engineering and Finance to align processes and tools for optimizing Engineering software expenditure.

At Informatica, I managed QA for multiple product lines at the same time. My role required working with QA Managers, QA leaders and QA architects to build automation frameworks, enhance the quality of testing and release products as per the schedules. As a leader, my focus was always on improving the quality of testing and the coverage via automation.Complex Event processing:• Built QA organization from ground up for the Product. Successfully released a Version 1 of this emerging technology product with the new team and supported production customers. Although my primary responsibility was around connector QA and release deliverables, I helped manage the development team that delivered over 5 connector updates for Informatica Cloud every month• Engaged with Informatica Partners to deploy their connectors to Informatica Cloud• Worked very closely with the remote Informatica Cloud Platform R & D organization • Hired QA managers to manage different connector releases while working with the development managers and PMs on requirements. Informatica Cloud Real time, Big Data, Core Power Center Platform: • Responsible for Big Data Streaming product Quality. This was a version 1 product that was released to add competitive edge to the Big Data edition from Informatica. Required interaction with stake holders like Product managers, engineering managers, QA managers, field engineers.
