I am a consultant in algal cultivation and biotechnology with over 7 years of experience in the fields of algal growth in open raceway systems and downstream processing. I have an extensive background in microalgae cultivation, biochemical analysis, and extraction of bioactive compounds from biomass such as pigments, fatty acids, and bioactive peptides that can be used for diverse applications from nutraceuticals and food supplements to fish feed formulations. With a Ph.D. in Food Biotechnology from the University Putra Malaysia (UPM), I have made significant scientific contributions to the understanding and application of microalgae notably "Microalgae for high-value products towards human health and nutrition" which was published in Marine Drugs in 2019 (https://doi.org/10.3390/md17050304) and "Indigenous marine diatoms as novel sources of bioactive peptides with antihypertensive and antioxidant properties" which was published in the International Journal of Food Science & Technology (https://doi.org/10.1111/ijfs.14006).My major interests are: applied research in food biotechnology, microalgae isolation and cultivation, aquaculture feed, downstream process, enzymatic hydrolysis, and bioremediation.Throughout my career, I have worked with leading research institutions and biotechnology companies, specializing in the development of sustainable algae-based solutions for biofuels, nutraceuticals, wastewater treatment, and carbon capture such as University of Szczecin, University of Texas at Austin, Université de Franche-Comté, Brilliant Planet (Feed Algae). As a consultant, I provide strategic guidance and technical expertise to startups, established companies, and government agencies looking to harness the potential of microalgae.
