Aim of this project was to research the connection between mesenchymal stem cell and Multiple Myeloma cancer cells and the role of this connection in developing Multiple Myeloma Bone Disease.Primary Methods: primary cell culture, direct and indirect cell culture, cell differentiation, RNA isolation, qRT-PCR, ELISA, pre-clinical murine model development, bioluminescence imaging, micro-computed tomographic scanning.

Methods: isolating and identifying pathogens (bacterial, viral, mycotic, parasitic) from patient samples (haemocultures, respiratory samples, intraoperative, wound, urine and stool samples), pathogen resistance, sterile work environment, liquid and solid culture media, selective and complex culture media, VITEC, serology, being up to date with changes issued by WHO and EUCAST, data management, coordinating with the centre for infectious diseases in Croatia.

Laboratories: biochemistry, haematology.Methods: drawing blood, urinometer, colourimetry, spectrophotometry, chemiluminescence, mass spectrometer, arterial gass measurement, calibrations and controls for various instruments (e.g. Abbott Architect), full blood count, white blood cell count, reticoulocytes, coagulation techniques, patient data management.
