I created my first “online course” when I was about 14 years old. It was a school project created in some Microsoft outdated app. It was all devoted to the life of the poet from my home town. While creating this course, I collected info from several books and newspapers and even met the daughter of the poet. Only after several years, I realized that it was my first experience with content curation, SME interviewing, and working with an authoring tool. Since that time I’ve been somewhere around the educational field. First in the role of a peer-to-peer trainer and facilitator in NGO projects. And then as a learning experience designer and L&D professional in the corporate field. In my current position, my main goal is to ensure that the learning experience is both fun and suitable for the needs of our adult audiences. My daily tasks include identifying learning needs, mapping out development plans, and evaluation of learning metrics and business results. I collaborate a lot with industry experts helping them to translate their knowledge into learning materials. Also, as a facilitator and moderator, I’m engaged in the delivery of learning events. Needless to say, I am a great fan of learning theories and approaches. The neuroscience of learning is my current crush.
