I am driven by the vision of creating a safe, sustainable, and accessible mode of aerial transportation for everyone & everything through unmanned aerial systems (UAS) and increasingly automated flight. In my different roles at Volocopter and German Aerospace Center (DLR) as passionate and innovative leader I served with approximately 50/50 split between leadership and technical development. My career started in applied research at Fraunhofer in mobile robot soccer and soon led to research in the 3rd dimension at DLR with unmanned aerial vehicles. Deeply immersed in technical work, I turned ideas from white-board into full-scale flight tests, often using a software-defined approach to leverage its flexibility and tight integration. Of course, I couldn’t have achieved all of this without my great teams, who I built from the ground up, empowered to strengthen their field of expertise and developed their role.
Listed skills include Uav, Autonomous Vehicles, C++, Mobile Robotics, and 20 others.
