This application is now central to the DG Digital Strategy.My Store Systems and WMS teams develop using the Agile/Scrum methodology (for iOS, Android, and .Net). All teams also maintain and manage several on-shore and off-shore outsourced partnerships that supply a significant portion of our project work in areas not core to our expertise (e.g. learning management applications, labor management applications, depot services, field hardware management, and middle-ware development).In recent years we have deployed 6+ operations-facing mobile applications and two customer-facing applications for both in-store and at-home shopping, using real-time inventory and alerting.We are also responsible for the hardware life-cycle and support of over 80,000 POS devices, 65,000 hand held devices, and 14,000 store PC systems. SAN infrastructure was Dell/EMC based.Encompassing nearly 40 stores, 2M square feed of DC space, and our corporate headquarters, our infrastructure consisted of over 50TB of SAN space, 60+ Cisco 45xx and 65xx chassis, over 1000 Cisco VoIP devices, and over 30000 CPW of iSeries computing power.Our internet infrastructure supported 120Mbit in/outbound and over 10000 consumer transactions per day.Additionally, our POS environment consisted of over 1400 lanes of IBM POS hardware and software.
