Working as a member of the Office of Emergency Operations, Plans and Policy division of NNSA (NA-41), provide software development, technical leadership, guidance, and support of existing systems. Software developed in this role is used at sites, labs, plants, and facilities throughout the Department of Energy enterprise primarily in the emergency management space.This role also involves supporting the Emergency Management Special Interest Group (EMI SIG) professional organization, funded by DOE to create collaboration in emergency management within the DOE enterprise. Supporting this involves helping plan and execute the EMI SIG annual meeting, both at physical locations around the country, and more recently online in a virtual conference model.This role requires interfacing with both the end user community (customers) of the products that NA-41 develops, leading software a development team in the architecture and development of these products, and working with NA-IM to manage the backend server architecture in a secure environment.

This system allows users to sign in from any of three disconnected North Dakota Active Directory domains, from external SAML identity providers (IDP) like PowerSchool (for students at their districts), or through a blockchain based verifiable credential form within the application.Scholarship Management System (SMS): Built for the North Dakota University System (NDUS) the SMS is a single point to manage all state funded scholarships, the students who have been awarded, and the status of each. The system not only tracks student eligibility and payments, but also generates automated messaging to students for status changes and updates.
