I am passionate about infrastructure and have worked on large backend systems for several AAA internet companies during my career.I built storage and networking teams at Facebook and was one of the inventors of Haystack, an efficient and cheap userland filesystem which is used to store over one trillion photos and videos on Facebook and Instagram. I also led development of the software and features behind Facebook's Edge platform, including DNS, Load Balancing, CDN, and Mobile Networking.I also spent many years working on Incident Management and Site Availability for Facebook, including co-founding Web Foundation, a centralized site performance team at Facebook that is tasked with diagnosing critical performance issues and working with the relevant teams to address the root causes that led to them, typically in a crisis situation.
