Current1. Ensure that all phases of construction works being carried out by Contractors on behalf of the Authority, comply with the drawings and specifications as embodied in the Contract. 2. Confirm that site construction procedures are effective in meeting the goals stated above. 3. Pay timely visits to the construction site, observe the construction procedures and methods, and confirm that the completed work items would be acceptable by the Authority. 4. Maintain all job records such as all pay items, their respective construction progress and percent completion. 5. Validate quantities of work done by the Contractor for the purpose of invoicing. 6. Attend periodic field meetings to review and resolve material and installation problems and monitor progress on the job. 7. Apply for Protection Guarantee for work on apparatus in service. 8. Hold Protection Guarantee certificate on behalf of Contractors and ensure safety of workmen during the work. 9. Participate in commissioning tests on completed work by the Contractor.10. Recommend modifications to design drawings submitted for construction. 11. Liase with other utility service providers for protection guarantee and permission. 12. Liase with other departments within the Authority to determine the scope of assistance required, when the need be/arise.13. Verify "as-built" drawings. 14. Liase with the Law Enforcement agencies, District Chief Executives, Chiefs and Opinion Leaders to resolve conflicts. 15. Compile list of defects to be sent to Contractor for remedy after conducting commissioning tests. 16. Report every finding and action to the Project Engineer daily, and provide inputsfor weekly and monthly rreports. 17. Co-ordinate site activities with the office. 18. Record daily site occurrence in a site dairy. 19. Ensure that the Contractor complies with any special handling procedures outlined on erection drawings.
