CurrentFEDERAL OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH, BETHESDA, MD US LEAD POLICY WRITER (6/2018 – PRESENT)Develop and managed FOH-wide administrative manuals/documents. Manage the integrated systems of internal policy and procedural management. Ensure consistency between and within public agency statements, external correspondence, legislative and regulatory positions as they relate to internal policy development. Organize, facilitate, and support stakeholder task teams to advise the FOH Director on major policy issues. Provide policy development support to FOH leadership. Perform policy document analysis, including evaluation of content to ensure policy document cohesion. Perform document indexing, publishing, archiving, and retirement. Maintain and update standardized FOH policy development and management templates. Schedule and coordinate issuance of policy documents to include staff notification announcements. Maintain master policy document spreadsheet as well as retired document spreadsheet, containing all POLs, SOPs, LOPs, ASPs, and supplementary forms. Secure appropriate signatures and approvals for policy documents. Manage the suggestions obtained during the two-week comment period and submit them to division leadership. Establish and oversee the policy review process. Maintain a record of alerts and subsequent changes to policy documents. Meet with program managers from numerous departments to acquire thorough knowledge of each units’ operations and procedures. Working independently, write manuals, policies, LOPs, SOPs, etc. describing the steps and requirements of each department. Experience with distance learning and video conferencing software. Facilitated group projects in an online course, established experience managing teams remotely.
