About Inga Chen

I'm passionate about creating highly personalized user experiences, to make users feel like a product was made just for them.Before working on personalization products at Spotify, I led the user-facing analytics product teams at Squarespace during a high-growth period where we went from 3 PMs to ~20 PMs and 500 to 800 employees overall. Among other things, I owned the Squarespace Analytics iOS and Android apps which grew from 3-star to 4.9-star rated apps. I also led our integration with Google Search Console, the first of its kind, which was featured at Google I/O in 2018. Before Squarespace, I helped start the product and business orgs as an early employee at connected car startup, Automatic (YC'11) in San Francisco, where I built products using data science and machine learning to create actionable insights and personalized recommendations for drivers around fuel efficiency and car maintenance. I have given talks and run workshops on machine learning from a product perspective at sold-out conferences in NYC and across Europe. Most recently, I gave a 30-min talk called Personalizing User Experiences with Data & Machine Learning at PMF in Zurich and ran a sold-out workshop on Machine Learning from a Product Perspective using a framework I developed for evaluating ML product features. Other conferences I've spoken at include Product Festival in New York City, and the Refresh Conference in Estonia.
