Global Marketing Manager: ★ Human Vaccines Adjuvants ★ Pharma Excipients ★ Healthcare
Apac Technical Marketing Manager / Business Development: ★ Pharmaceutical Excipients ★ Healthcare
I focused on the Japanese pharma market; one of the largest in the world, and one of the main pillars of Japanese economy. After the 2012 reforms the health care system and pharma are undergoing drastic changes impacting the industry. My objectives were to:• identify internal and external blocks preventing the business to grow at the desirable speed, • find solutions to grow the business together with the local sales and marketing team, • present the progress to the business management and business leadership.
Corporate Development ♦ Asia Pacific: ★ External Innovation Leader
I joined Technology Investment Group (TIG) as a part of the strategic innovation group. The function drives the acquisition (M&A) and licensing of innovative technologies.TIG is challenged with acquiring the sustainable and disruptive technologies that are consistent with our strategic objectives. Our focus is to address specific recognised gaps or to enhance what we have today. To do this, we work closely with our markets on a priority list of unmet needs and also welcome approaches from outside companies and entrepreneurs. Together with my team from Singapore, Japan, Korea, China and India, I searched for unique and differentiated technologies across all Croda’s markets in the Asia Pacific region. My role as an innovation leader was to:• Assemble, educate and mentor the team of 11 members • Monitor the performance and implement all required changes to maximize Asian external innovation pipelines• Identify, establish and nurture a wide range of relationships with governmental, academic and private organizations to position Croda as a partner of choice in commercialization as well as a partner in acquiring fully operating companies• Primary contact with external innovators
Apac Marketing Associate: ★ Speciality Chemical Additives ★ Pharmaceutical Excipients ★ Healthcare
I was “go to person” for marketing activities in Asia. My key achievements are:• I created value propositions for 5 products (pharmaceutical excipients) and positioned them for global markets. • By identifying and closing the gaps in the approach and the system, I managed to incorporate additional 5 products to the global excipients portfolio. This allowed Croda HealthCare to secure products supply between regions as well as to shorten the lead time and adjust the price between the regions.• I monitored a development of 3 pharmaceutical excipients.• I brought to the country head and regional HealthCare management 7 recommendations on how to further grow our business in South Korea. I identified focus areas and opportunities as well as areas of improvement.• I also worked on expansion of our customer database and on creation of a system to increase a targeted engagement with customers. Together with the sales force I increased the number of external contacts by 1135% in Japan, 16.9% in India and 6.3% in Korea. • I simplified and automated the website approval process by expanding the white list of customers by 30% of the global list. This reduced the waiting time for a customer to get access to our website and resourced from 72 hours to instant approval. All my work required constant intensive communication with multifunctional teams (including regulatory, sales and R&D) at all levels.
